What is Vorta?
Vorta is the next step of automobile ownership; a combination of ride sharing, fractional car ownership, and the newest advances in driverless car technology. With a subscription to Vorta, you are granted full access to top-of-theline cars with the newest technology, for a fraction of the price. Each Vorta vehicle is equipped with driverless technology that enables its main feature; the sharepool, Vorta’s evolution of carpooling.
How does it work?
When you subscribe to Vorta, you will be matched with a group of other drivers and car owners. You enter your driver schedule, car needs, and location into our web app, and Vorta will find the right car and sharepool for you. When you need to drive to work, you’ll find your Vorta vehicle sitting in your driveway, ready for you to drive where you need to go, or even drive itself where you need. Once you’ve arrived, your Vorta might drive off to another member of your sharepool, for them to get where they need to go. When you’re done with your shift and ready to head home, your Vorta vehicle will be right there in the parking lot waiting for you. It’s the next step in ridesharing; it’s your car, when you need it, for a fraction of the price.

Who will I be matched with? And what car?
Vorta vets its subscribers thoroughly, so that you’ll be matched with responsible drivers near you, whose schedules align with when you need your car. In most cases, you won’t even meet your sharepool; with your driving schedules carefully aligned, you won’t even notice your Vorta vehicle is gone. The size of your sharepool will vary depending on your needs; the average sharepool will be around four to five people. Members of your sharepool will drop in and out, but this will never affect the costs to you; your Vorta subscription will always stay the same. If you have a friend or group of friends you want in your sharepool, you can invite them instead of being automatically matched with someone else.
When setting up your profile, you'll choose from one of our Vorta vehicles, from the sleek and sporty Electra to the spacious and powerful Brizo. The sharepools you match with will be drivers with the same car needs as you, in the same area, with matching schedules. Each sharepool is a match made in heaven.

What if my schedule changes?
Your schedule is always changeable, and you can always update it with our Vorta app; if your 7 AM shift next week is moved to 10 AM, a quick update in the Vorta app will alert other drivers and restructure the planned car needs. If your schedule changes enough that it interferes with others in your sharepool, you may be bumped into a different pool. However, your new pool will always use the vehicle you prefer; you won't be switched from your convertible to an SUV. You’ll be matched with a new sharepool with the same vehicle, but now with a schedule that works for all of you. And if your vehicle needs change, no problem; when you move from New York to the backwoods of Maine, and need an SUV instead of a sports car, you can update your Vorta profile to switch to a new sharepool. If you have any friends in your sharepool, you’ll always be moved to the same pool unless you both manually separate from each other.

What if I need my car outside of the planned times?
When emergencies strike, and you need a car right away, Vorta will still have your back. When unplanned trips pop up, you can use the Vorta app to dispatch a Quickdrive car to you. From the nearest Vorta facility to your location, a simple tap of a button will activate a driverless car to come to you ASAP and get you where you need to go. Unless no matching car is available, Quickdrive cars will match your current sharepool car down to best serve your needs. Once your unscheduled trip is concluded, the Quickdrive car will return to the Vorta facility. Quickdrive cars can also be used for unscheduled weekend times; if someone else has your sharepool car over the weekend, you can request a Quickdrive for a trip to the mall or for grocery shopping.
How does insurance work?
You are covered by your own insurance. If you are in an accident and it is not your fault, you can make a claim against the other person's insurance. The person driving the car in the sharepool will be responsible for all people in the car if an accident does happen. Coverage on an injury is at least $50,00 and $25,000 in property damage.

What about customizing my car?
Your car should be your car, and even though you'll be sharing it with others, we want to make sure you can customize it to your liking. Many customization options that would be hard-to-install on a normal car are actually easily customized with Vorta vehicles. A car seat for infants is built into the seats of the Kotys and Brizo and can be easily folded in and out of the backseat. If you're in a sharepool with someone who needs to take their kids along, you won't even know there's a car seat in the back. Options like DVD players in the Brizo and backup camera in the Kotys will let you make your car your own, all while not disrupting the needs of your sharepool.

At Vorta, we are also handicapped friendly. We provide services such as a personal driver and someone to help you get in and out of the car. We allow service dogs to be in the cars and bench seat instead of the two seats in the front for more room. The car will be key-less and it will be automatic for an easier drive. The car will have cruise control so it is much easier to drive as well. It will have a ramp that is foldable so it is easier to get in and out of the car. None of these features will cost extra, all the same price as the regular Vorta.
